چکیده
Agropyron cristatum (P genome) is a Triticeae species from the wheat tertiary gene pool which has economic importance as forage and also displays traits beneficial to wheat. Resistance leaf rust was previously mapped short arm of chromosome 1P (1PS) in A. by development compensating Robertsonian translocation involving 1PS long 1B (1BL). In this study, engineered using ph1b mutation induce 1BS/1PS homoeologous recombination obtain new translocations with shortened fragments 1PS. Two different alien fragment sizes were identified genomic situ hybridization, 1BS- 1PS-specific molecular markers gene-specific for glutenin, Glu-B3 gliadin Gli-B1 seed storage protein. One (called type 1) replaces proximal segment chromatin, other 2) distal introduces protein loci. Six specific EST-STS amplified PCR products recombinant 2 line. analysis showed that highly resistant virulent race pathogen. The wheat–A. obtained yield material seedling plant resistance

Physical Localization of a Locus from Agropyron cristatum Conferring Resistance to Stripe Rust in Common Wheat
Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst), is one of the most destructive diseases of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) worldwide. Agropyron cristatum (L.) Gaertn. (2n = 28, PPPP), one of the wild relatives of wheat, exhibits resistance to stripe rust. In this study, wheat-A. cristatum 6P disomic addition line 4844-12 also exhibited resistance to stripe rust. To identify the s...
متن کاملConstruction of Agropyron Gaertn. genetic linkage maps using a wheat 660K SNP array reveals a homoeologous relationship with the wheat genome
Agropyron Gaertn. (P genome) is a wild relative of wheat that harbours many genetic variations that could be used to increase the genetic diversity of wheat. To agronomically transfer important genes from the P genome to a wheat chromosome by induced homoeologous pairing and recombination, it is necessary to determine the chromosomal relationships between Agropyron and wheat. Here, we report us...
متن کاملIntrogression of Chromosome 3Ns from Psathyrostachys huashanica into Wheat Specifying Resistance to Stripe Rust
Wheat stripe rust is a destructive disease in the cool and humid wheat-growing areas of the world. Finding diverse sources of stripe rust resistance is critical for increasing genetic diversity of resistance for wheat breeding programs. Stripe rust resistance was identified in the alien species Psathyrostachys huashanica, and a wheat-P. huashanica amphiploid line (PHW-SA) with stripe rust resis...

Wheat-Agropyron cristatum 7P disomic addition line Ⅱ-5-1, derived from the distant hybridization between A. cristatum (2n = 4x = 28, PPPP) and the common wheat cv. Fukuhokomugi (Fukuho), displays numerous desirable agronomic traits, including enhanced thousand-grain weight, smaller flag leaf, and enhanced tolerance to drought. In order to transfer these traits into common wheat, Ⅱ-5-1 was induc...
متن کاملThe Lr34 adult plant rust resistance gene provides seedling resistance in durum wheat without senescence
The hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum) adult plant resistance gene, Lr34/Yr18/Sr57/Pm38/Ltn1, provides broad-spectrum resistance to wheat leaf rust (Lr34), stripe rust (Yr18), stem rust (Sr57) and powdery mildew (Pm38) pathogens, and has remained effective in wheat crops for many decades. The partial resistance provided by this gene is only apparent in adult plants and not effective in field-g...
